The Bradfield Tennis Centre was officially opened on 22 May 2000 by Tim Henman, nephew of Tim Billington (H 58-62) and Tony Billington (H 59-63). After six years of planning and fundraising, the building was completed on schedule just five months after the foundation-laying ceremony performed by the All England LTC Chief Executive - Chris Gorringe (E 59-64) - in December 1999.

The facility has proved to be a major benefit to Bradfield. At the time of opening, no other school within a radius of 60 miles had indoor tennis and Bradfield joined the elite of Repton, Sevenoaks and Millfield  in offering this facility.

The centre has a 'pay and play' facility for the local community which would not have been possible without the generous contributions from the Sport England Lottery Fund, the Lawn Tennis Association and over 80 individuals.
