There has been a long tradition at the College to provide the opportunities for our pupils to raise money for charities. The College actively encourages pupils to choose the charities which they would like to support.  Over recent years the College has built up a tradition of supporting specific charities, for example The British Legion Poppy Day appeal, “Give It Your Max “ ( a charity very close to our hearts), and the Afghan Connection.

Fundraising is generally pupil led with the support of the staff with in the Bradfield community. The College adopts maybe one or two charities each year where there is a specific emphasis on raising money on their behalf. In addition individual Boarding Houses will raise money for a range of charities, of their choice.   A number of charities that the pupils raise money for, are also linked with a community project, where pupils actually giving their time as well as fundraising; examples of this  type of dual approach is Living Paintings ,CIRDIC (Churches In Reading Drop In Centre), and Addington Special School.

Our pupils are always keen to surprise the staff in their innovative approach to raising money for  charity  such as twenty four hour football marathon, Pianothon and cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End. We are extremely fortunate in having a very active Parents Association who are very supportive of the pupil’s and the College’s tradition of giving.

We would encourage those registered for Bradfieldians Online to visit our Sponsorship Board to see information on the latest charitable challanges untaken by Bradfieldians past and present.
