THE BRADFIELD CLUB IN peckham
Bradfield College has long connections with the Peckham area of London, ‘The Bradfield Club in Peckham ‘ was set up in 1911 by Old Bradfieldians and the College is an active supporter of its activities. Each year we organise and run a summer “expedition” for youth members of the Club to the College, allowing the boys and girls to experience and hopefully enjoy a few days in West Berkshire.
This year pupils and staff from the Club stayed for three days in Stanley House and enjoyed a variety of activities. These were designed to provide the young people with an opportunity to develop their self reliance and confidence. They were involved in leadership tasks, kayaking, horse riding, orienteering and art and craft. This was such a success that they want to come back for four days next year!
The Club was honoured by a recent visit from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Click here to read more about the visit.
